Over the past 20 years through extensive practice and research, I have developed my own unique method and skills in the practice of Chinese medicine. My training at Middlesex University where I gained a 1st class (honours) BSc in Acupuncture and a Professional Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine, was extensive and under the watchful eye of some of UK’s most eminent TCM Chinese doctors.
During the past decade I worked at the well-known and respected Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine Clinic in North London as well as at the NHS – Whittington and Royal Free hospitals. I was in charge of the NHS Whittington Hospital’s Maternity Acupuncture Clinic for over 3 years treating pregnant women for many pregnancy-related issues, for labor preparation and to help them through labor.
In 2013, I had the opportunity to gain clinical experience at the Wujin TCM hospital in Changzhou, China. This training provided invaluable insight into traditional Chinese medicine methodology and its integration with Western medicine.
As a fully licensed and insured member of The British Acupuncture Council, the main regulatory body for acupuncture in the UK, my practice offers treatment at the utmost standards of care and assured professional conduct.
As a therapist, I am well familiar with acupuncture, reflexology, facial acupuncture, ear acupuncture, Shonishin, TUINA massage as well as classic and medical massage treatments. But I am also making use of other alternative treatments, such as aromatherapy, when I see fit.
My main fields of specialization are gynecological / menstrual, hormonal and fertility issues as well as problems during and after pregnancy.
On top of that, I am also well experienced in regards to pain management, anxiety and sleep disorders, digestive issues and cosmetic acupuncture.
Another field of specialization are health-related conditions in babies and older children, particularly gastrointestinal problems and problems related to the immune system. I am well trained and experienced in Shonishin, which is a form of pediatric acupuncture and which I predominantly use to treat babies and children.
Finally, I am also working as a Pregnancy and Birth Consultant for natural labor preparation and birthing. My experience with pregnant women from my previous position as Head of the Maternity Acupuncture at the Whittington Hospital together with my experience in treating pregnancy related issues have allowed me to help many women through their pregnancy as well as through their labor and birth in the most natural way possible.
As a Pregnancy and Birth Consultant, I am also a member of Lamaze, the biggest internal organization for childbirth education. I also attended Lamaze workshops to deepen my knowledge in labor and birth related topics.
Thanks to my partner, I am also well familiar with the most recent scientific research in regards to pregnancy-related topics. Together, we founded Care About Little Ones (www.careaboutlittleones.com) which a platform which provides women with science-based information on pregnancy-related topics.
Finally, I have treated many celebrities and even billionaires. My discretion is always assured.
